Designed specifically for flexographic color proofing and printmaking, the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 uses the latest developments in high-resolution inkjet printing technology, including Epson UltraChrome HDR White ink printing technology.

Thanks to the world’s first environmentally friendly water-based white ink, printing can be performed on both transparent and metallized media. Full control over the color reproduction allows you to add minor shades to the white color, which makes it possible to simulate the white ink used directly in the printing process on the printing machine.

Thin Film Piezo (TFP) Printhead with 10 channels

Introducing the revolutionary new MicroPiezo TFP printhead technology, Epson offers a new level of ink droplet application to paper for superior photographic quality. High resolution, high speed with a one-inch printhead with 360 nozzles per channel, using 10 channels for ink at the same time, printing in variable-size drops with a minimum drop of 3.5 pl for high-speed, high-quality printing

Reverse and forward printing modes

The most common use of white ink printing for printing tasks is direct printing. The Stylus Pro WT7900 supports this print mode, providing the widest color coverage. In reverse printing mode, white is applied last, allowing you to get bright and rich images on transparent media that can be viewed from the back (unsealed) side. When printed on transparent films, the sample looks similar to what a print made by typographic methods looks like.

Direct printing is also used for packaging, including for cases where printing on metallic media is required. In this mode, white ink is applied first, and then colored ink is applied. The print looks like a familiar print on standard papers.
