The main feature of the Epson SureColor SC-B7070 (64″) is refillable ink containers of 1.5 liters instead of disposable cartridges. The containers are equipped with filters to prevent contamination of the print head. For refilling them, Epson offers original water-based (Dye) ink in a soft package:
- 1 liter each (included with the plotter),
- 6 liters each for the B7070 (Black C13T771100, Cyan C13T771200, Magenta C13T771300, Yellow C11T771400).
Each paint bag comes with a chip (chip unit), which is equipped with a flow meter. Using each subsequent package of ink will require replacing the chip, which has a different firmware depending on the volume of the purchased packages.
Epson SureColor SC-B7070 is designed for a narrow niche-interior printing (production of advertising posters, posters, graphic design elements used in the premises), equipped with a piezoelectric print head with 720 nozzles for each color. The company notes that the PG is made using Micro Piezo Thin Film technology, based on an innovative methodology for processing thin films.
The plotter is very fast, supports a maximum resolution of 720 x 1440 dpi, has a network interface, works on water ink (i.e. on the street, the prints will fade and wash off with water).
Also, the Epson SureColor SC-B7070 has a convenient roll loading system and a notification system for working with tasks – the printer can signal any event (an error or the end of printing) by email, a bright lamp on the case and an audible signal.
The Epson SureColor SC-B7070 (64 inches) works with materials from 300 mm to 1626 mm wide (12″ -64″) with a thickness of up to 1 mm, supports a minimum drop size of 3.8 picolitres. The maximum print speed is 54.6 sq. m. per hour (resolution 360 x 720 dpi, in one pass). With the best quality – in 8 passes with a resolution of 720 x1440 dpi-the speed drops to 7 sq. m. per hour. The roll is located at the bottom of the case.
