The Epson SureColor SC-P20070 large-format printer combines the traditionally high quality of photo printing for Epson and improved performance. The successor to the best-selling Epson StylusPro 11880, it is designed not only for printing photos and artwork up to 1626 mm wide, but also for high-quality POS materials. This is the ideal solution for photographers and artists who need realistic color reproduction, soft transitions of shades and rich halftones, as well as for print shops that want to have a full-time solution for creating POS materials, advertising and printing photos. The combination of a ten-color ink set and the unique new Epson PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead delivers unparalleled quality even when printing at high speed.
Excellent print quality
Epson printers are known in the professional environment for the exceptional quality of printing photos. The new 10-color Epson UltraChrome Pro ink set sets the standard for professional photo printing. The new black ink with a high content of pigment (photo and matte) provides a stunningly deep black color. Reduced graininess in color transitions and shades is achieved by using four shades of gray and variable-size drop printing technology. Reduced vibration during printing is provided by the new printhead, which is also responsible for the accuracy of positioning and the shape of ink drops.
Epson UltraChrome Pro ink creates sufficient optical density on the surface of the glossy media and prevents the pigment from penetrating too deeply into loose papers. The higher dynamic range allows the ink to reproduce all shades of gray, so the images do not” fall ” into too much contrast and look realistic.
Two cartridges with different black ink
The printer simultaneously installs 2 black ink cartridges — with matte and standard black ink. The ability to select the black mode ensures economical ink consumption and optimal print density on various media. Depending on the media type, the printer automatically selects the appropriate ink cartridge: “standard” black ink can be used for any media, and when printing on media such as Epson Velvet Fine Art, Epson Enhanced Matte and Epson UltraSmooth Fine Art, the use of matte black ink will significantly increase the optical density for the best print quality.
Easy to use
Maintaining the printer is easy and simple. The color LCD panel and the illustrations in the user guide will help you set up your printer and get started. The process of loading and changing media is also thought out to the smallest detail. The transparent areas in the printer cover above the print area allow you to monitor the printing process and control the remaining media in the roll – without opening the printer again, which helps to reduce the amount of dust inside by up to 50%.
The optional Adobe PostScript module will expand the ability to work with a wide variety of file formats. And thanks to the optional hard drive, users can print jobs directly from the printer’s control panel, without connecting to a computer. The standard connection interfaces are a USB 2.0 port and one 10/100 BaseT Ethernet network port.
High performance
The latest high-performance Epson PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead delivers high speed and uncompromising photo printing quality in all operating modes with 800 nozzles per color and 2.64-inch nozzle lines. The Epson SureColor SC-P20070 is capable of printing gorgeous photos with a width of up to 64”at the highest speed. So, it takes only 90 seconds for the printer to print A1 in the 6-pass mode!
