Excellent print quality

The professional Epson SureColor SC-P7000 photo printer uses the new Epson UltraChrome HDX ink with the already proven Vivid Magenta color formula. In addition to the standard 6 CMYKLcLm colors (Cyan, Rich Magenta, Yellow, Black, light blue, rich light magenta), the printer uses additional colors: gray (LK), light gray (LLK), Orange (Or), and Green (Gr). The 10-color Epson UltraChrome HDX pigment ink set guarantees 98% Pantone scale transmission for accurate reproduction of high-quality images with bright, rich colors. The advanced black-and-white print mode and three black-toned ink cartridges provide deep black color, as well as smooth halftones.

Two cartridges with different black ink

The printer simultaneously installs 2 black ink cartridges — with matte and standard black ink. The ability to select the black mode ensures economical ink consumption and optimal print density on various media. Depending on the type of media, the printer automatically selects the appropriate cartridge: “standard” black ink can be used for any media, and when printing on media such as Epson Velvet Fine Art, Epson Enhanced Matte and Epson UltraSmooth Fine Art, the use of matte black ink will significantly increase the optical density for the best print quality.

Innovative Epson PrecisionCore TFP Printhead

The Epson SureColor SC-P7000 printer uses the Epson PrecisionCore TFP piezoelectric print head to form perfectly shaped ink droplets and position them precisely. Combined with the highest resolution of 2880 x 1440 dpi and variable-size drop printing technology, this results in great detail, smooth color transitions and accurate transmission of neutral shades.

Thanks to the extremely high optical density of black and wide color coverage, the Epson SureColor SC-P7000 printer will perfectly cope with the tasks of printing color proofs in the format up to 24’ and will become a compact assistant in the prepress section of the printing house. The Epson Color Calibration function and the optional SpectroProofer based on the X-Rite spectrophotometer and the latest ILS30EP measuring head guarantee reliable color reproduction over and over again, making it possible to quickly and accurately measure color.
