The Epson WorkForce WF-7010 is a quality printer with no frills. It is designed to help people who need a large-format printing device for their work. Among the advantages, we should note a decent print speed and good quality of color images.
Design
Like many large-format devices, the Epson Workforce 7010 is more like a nightstand in size. However, the device looks neat and very reliable. On the black rectangle of the case, you will not find any protrusions, which is good news. Unlike many models that use automatic duplex, the Epson WF-7010 hides it from the user’s eyes.
The matte case looks solid and restrained. The manufacturer added to its elegance with thin glossy stripes above the two cassette trays and the ribbed surface of the control panel. A big plus of this solution is the security of the device from fingerprints.
There are only a couple of holes on the case: a connector for USB and LAN on the side panel, a connector for the power cord on the back panel. There are no other connection options available in this printer model.
The front control panel is equipped with conventional buttons, which, when pressed, emit characteristic “clacking” sounds. There are very few of them, since the device is completely dependent on the computer. Even an inexperienced user will not be difficult to understand the uncomplicated control panel. Under the panel there are three trays: one for getting prints and two guides.
Printer
The Epson Workforce WF-7010 large format printer uses a standard 4-color palette for printing. Moreover, the number of nozzles is very high for this type of printer: it has 384 nozzles for black and 128 nozzles for color ink. So the print quality of the text is at its best.
Another thing that is simply a sin not to mention is the built-in duplex. The printer has two two-sided printing modes: just two-sided printing and double-sided printing. The latter mode will automatically flip the images so as to place two pages on each side of the sheet. Please note that double-sided printing is not available for A3 and A3+formats.
The print settings menu has changed, and so have the text print quality settings. There are five modes left, but now you will choose between the following: fast economical; economical; normal; high and quality. When printing photos, you can choose between high and best quality.
